7 Ways to Make Money on YouTube

I have done the research.
YouTube remains as highly popular as ever with users averaging 40 minutes a day watching content on the site. All it takes is video editing software and a computer to produce your own content. Making money through YouTube is not only for a limited number of platinum musicians, specific entrepreneurs, or enormous influencers. It’s a platform that we bloggers should look into growing our audiences as well as potentially increasing our income. I watched over 100 of those “it’s easy to make money on YouTube” videos. The summary of all the methods that I have been able to gather is below.
1. Join the YouTube Partner Program
You provide your permission to the YouTuber to post advertisements in your videos. The percentage is 50% for YouTube and 50% for creators. Google displays ads on your channel once configured. Each time he or she sees a product advert (as in or through your video) YouTube reflects the price Google charges to your advertisement. This might not seem as much as it seems but when you get thousands of videos views per month, these numbers add up to the amount of money per video you receive. You can choose what kind of ad placement you want and press a few buttons and Google will do the rest. To qualify for the program, you need at least 1,000 subscribers and 4000 hours of viewing time.
2. Create and sell a course
If you can offer a wide variety of valuable and helpful knowledge, readers can buy your course because they can learn more about ways that you can assist in their success. You can teach in a wide range of subjects such as fitness and wellness, personal development, digital marketing, and professional or training courses. This is an excellent method to make money on the platform, but in order to be profitable selling courses, you’ll need to be able to produce high-quality, useful information that provides significant value.
3. Affiliate marketing
You may never be able to rely on ads for revenue generation on YouTube. There’s still another way of monetizing a business like an affiliate marketing. For this YouTube monetization technique, sign up with companies or affiliate programs in your niche to receive affiliate links for products you think may suit your audience. You may also promote these goods on your channel and earn a commission on any resulting purchases. A direct way to get sales is to link to the affiliate product in your video description. The more conversion you have the more profits it makes.
4. Sell services
Selling services like masterminds consulting groups etc. to your followers is another effective way to gain paid opportunities. Although this monetization can be slow at first, once you have reached critical mass it can be extremely lucrative. Service promotion works fantastic whether you’re an entrepreneur, freelancer, or e-commerce shop proprietor. All you have to do is begin posting videos about your services in order to entice clients to give them a try. This was similar to how you can earn money through Reddit too. Give or provide service to someone and they pay for that work.
5. Sell products with live streams
How do you make money through YouTube and online selling? Generally well-executed this advertising strategy will work in popular spheres such as beauty/fashion. Alternatively, if you already own a company outside YouTube you can use the channel to drive traffic to your products. How can I build a good relationship with live streams? The more these people trust you with your company the more they will withdraw their credit card to buy your goods.
6. Build a blog to compensate YouTube
Most YouTube channels would be preferable for a blog because it allows you to engage in private conversations and to find out the people you love. Blog ads are available by display ads or can increase click-through rates on link sites. YouTube also has many more opportunities to increase the reach of your brand as a business brand to reach and acquire new readers/followers.
7. Work with Sponsorships
Working with sponsorship is a great way to improve my YouTube profits. As audiences grow advertisers will often hire you to produce a video for them. Direct marketing is the same as affiliate marketing but with minor differences. The amount you charge is varied depending on the quality of your video and your popularity. Remember sponsoring is advertising on the YouTube Channel. Please be transparent about this. Make sure you adhere to all of Google Ad Policies to avoid re-activation of your account for example suspensions or terminations.
Although these methods sound rather easily doable, they are neither easy nor quick. You have to learn how to make quality videos that will interest your audience. If you do not gain views it is nearly impossible for these methods to work for you resulting in no income at all. Of course, there are exceptions where someone’s videos go viral and they earn income through ad network YouTube in a very short period. However, these people are rare and difficult to find. Most people will have to do the grind, posting several videos per week for a year or two before start seeing some income. That’s the part that these “It’s really easy” type of videos don’t tell you.
So can you make money on YouTube? Absolutely. After doing this research, I have begun two YouTube channels and started posting YouTube shorts and 2–3 minute long videos based on my blog posts. Fully understanding that I won’t be able to monetize for at least a year or two, I am ready to do the grind.
I hope this was helpful.
